About the work
Omni is the debut MAST full-length: a musical sphere of bliss and structure, chaos and destruction. Tim Conley approaches electronic songwriting through a jazz composer’s lens, drawing inspiration from the serene, magical and sometimes disorienting landscapes of Japanese painter Katsushika Hokusai.
The record moves between nature samples, acoustic instruments and electronics. Anna Wise, Jeremiah Jae, Low Leaf and Ryat contribute distinct voices, while Conley’s devotion to experimental process guides the album’s shifting internal world.
